Purpose and goal:
The goal of the project was to gain knowledge to create a smart and connected AI for the LogTrade IOL system. The goal of working with AI experts, gaining needed knowledge within how to create the intelligence in forms of smart sensor-to-sensor communication, construction and training of models as well as advice on infrastructure has been fulfilled and tested in Stockholm in pilots within the HITS consortium.
Expected results and effects:
The result of an improved and smarter system using applied AI have been used and tested in a real environment, for route optimization and for connecting and optimizing using sensor-data, in the city of Stockholm and its surroundings, as well as to enable night "off peak" deliveries of daily goods. Nvidia has also opened up new business opportunities with last-mile actors in Europe.
Approach and implementation:
Due to the pandemic and travel ban, a large part of the collaboration took place digitally to start with, but when the travel ban was lifted, trips could be carried out and physical meetings could take place at Nvidias HQ in Silicon Valley. The project has since then continued through a combination of physical and digital meetings and includes people from both Sweden and the USA.
LogTrade´s close collaboration with the actors in the HITS consortium made it possible to test in a real environment, both in Stockholm´s inner city and in Södertörn municipality.
