Switch with vertically movable point crossing

Purpose and goal:

The aim is primarily to minimize the noise problems that arise when the commuter trains cross the crossing switch. The goal is that citizens´ health improves, with increased quality of life. An additional goal is to prepare the possibility of increasing the development next to local traffic as much as possible in order to use the commuter trains. These aims and objectives have not been met.

Expected results and effects: Results have not been fully delivered, the expected effects have not materialized. Final result not delivered. Approach and implementation:

Any implementation is currently not possible as requested financing from SL and Infra Sweden has not been able to be implemented. SL has not been able to meet the offers that Vinnova and Vertex proposed. The official explanation at SL is significant financial shortfalls, SL wants to postpone the project pending a better financial perspective of profitability in their business.
