The purpose of the project has been to test our new food-safe water-based coatings on our paper products to maximize performance, commercialize and replace PE coatings in the industry.

We have been able to successfully apply the waterbased coating to our paper wrappers on some of our solutions and be able to fully eliminate plastic from paper packaging while ensuring a good insulation wraps withy and liquids, as well as ensuring the packaging is recyclable. Considering the success of our testings, we are now in a position where we have commercialized our offering, however, there are still cheaper plastic-based offerings in the market, Our next focus is to maximize our production capacity and make our Plastic free production more competitive in the market over the next 12 months to allow food packaging businesses to replace their current BOPP wraps with our plastic-free paper wraps.

Approach and implementation:

With the increasing rate of raw materials across the industry and especially paper prices, it has become more difficult to implement our technology due to its increasing overhead costs for businesses.

With large-scale mass production, we are confident that we can convert many clients to use our technology on a large scale and benefit from a plastic-free solution that supports the environment as is in line with the objectives of becoming more sustainable.
