Grant Description
GreenPole compares forest governance approaches across Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway over the last 20-years.
Policy outcomes will be evaluated in terms of synergies and trade-offs across forest productivity, biodiversity, climate mitigation, and further societal demands.
A novel, integrated modelling, mixed-method, comparative policy assessment approach will provide an evidence-base for policy advice and opportunities for mutual learning in Nordic countries.
The project will explore potential future pathways for the transition of Nordic forest systems towards a green and inclusive economy.
