Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of our project was to develop a product prototype of new brand in the baby food category, and be able to attract investors.

The goal was to finance the production of our product, which is capital-intensive, with the help of external capital in order to be able to further launch the product on the market and have paying customers within 1-2.5-years. Expected results and effects:

After developing a prototype and business case, we were ready to contact various investors and business angels. We realized quite early the challenge with seeking capital at such an early stage without any paying customers. After several steps, we got accepted to participate in a TV show and had the opportunity to pitch our idea to investors.

Approach and implementation:

We started to work with creative agency to jointly develop our brand strategy and brand platform, further we could together start the work of developing a prototype of our packaging design to have something physical to present to external contacts such as investors and future customers & consumers. With the help of an external consultant, we have received input on our recipe, developed by the factory.

We have also visited the factory for a site visit and physical meeting / future plans. We have also started to work with a website and content creation for a Q&A on the website.
