Purpose and goal:
The goal of the project was to create a smartwatch with the functionality of a digital gatekeeper and with an appealing design and unlimited battery life.
The social sustainability emphasis in filtering with AI integration has shown to be so interesting that it has been prioritized together with the design aspects, however, we continued to work to find solutions to increase battery life from the current two years to the goal of complete self-sufficiency.
Expected results and effects:
The scalability of the new technology infrastructure has led to new long-term opportunities in addition to the company´s initial focus on IoT and connected consumers, which partly strengthens competitiveness in the current industry, while the company´s capacity is also broadened to act in other industries in the long term, which will broaden the company structure. With this development, the business model has also been optimized with more potential revenue streams that include greater sales of goods and services between companies.
Approach and implementation:
Completed activities include planning and technical decision-making, modeling (sourcing, operation flow, programming, NPI, PCB design, BOM), quality assurance (establishment of test standards, product qualification), app development (addition of section, database development, filtering system), and prototype development (design verification, testing)
Activities that are planed until new implementations are made are product protection (design patents, utility patents) and certifications (CE, RoH, SIG).
