BETTER TRUCKIN

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the project was to develop a service for transport planning of goods on trailers, a service that reduces CO2 emissions from the trucks that tow trailers, while improving the financial situation with these actors. The goal was to demonstrate concrete savings in money, time and CO2 through validation of industry actors. The project was successful from both a technical and commercial perspective and all set objective are met by the project´s end date.

Expected results and effects:

The results from the project have already been turned into concrete commercial benefits and the expected effects in the form of an expanded validation group are now taking place at a high pace through validation with new beta customers. The effects have been that the service is now beginning to gain a reputation in the industry, which has created a demand from both freight forwarders and hauliers.

Approach and implementation:

The project plan was followed throughout the project and during parts of the project the project was ahead of schedule, something that was used to speed up commercialization. The work packages were carried out according to plan and the schedules for the individual work packages held up relatively well.
