ODIH - planning

Purpose and goal: The purpose was to plan and submit a proposal for a "Ocean Digital Innovation Hub" to the Commission. Expected results and effects:

We had to accept that we could not reach the target of submitting a proposal to the Commission in February. We hope that the Commission will open a second round and that we can submit a proposal, possibly with a smaller group of main parties. Approach and implementation:

GU has coordinated the work, in close collaboration with the other main parties Chalmers, RISE, SMHI and IVL. We have worked on the basis of the proposal we sent in the national round, but we have also made significant changes and worked a lot on the details. Not least, we have worked to broaden the group of involved and associated parties.

We have participated in much of the networking and information work that has taken place both in Sweden and at the European level. We have had bilateral contacts with various marine EDIH candidates in Finland, Norway, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece.
