Purpose and goal: Testa Center is part of the government´s investment in a strong Swedish life science sector.
The project aims to continue the system transfer that has begun in previous projects. This will be implemented through a number of verification projects. An independent panel of experts will assess and prioritize projects.
With regard to applications, the work will continue to focus on biology, but even more focused efforts will be made towards technology and digital projects. Expected results and effects:
The path from research results to product in the market is shortened and simplified. More SMEs are given opportunities to grow and become more attractive for investment. Technology-based companies are opening up to the life science market. Foundations are created for more viable growing Swedish companies in the field of biological production, both in biology, but also supporting technologies such as technology and digital projects.
Approach and implementation:
The project results in a good occupancy in 2021 distributed between the application areas biology, technology and digital projects. The extraordinary funding for verification projects means that Testa Center can continue with the necessary anchoring work of the completely new type of infrastructure that Testa Center entails, where you need to actively build projects and create success stories that can be disseminated nationally.
During the coming project period, 5-8 verification projects will be implemented within the framework of the Testa Center.
