Grant Description

This project will focus on the preparation of organometallic metal complexes that may function as antimalarial drugs.

Complex synthesis is developed in collaboration with research teams in South Africa (University of Cape Town) and India (Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi).

The antimalarial properties will be tested on Plasmodium falciparum malaria parasites in collaboration with researchers at the University of Cape Town.
