Next Generation Powertrain Production

Purpose and goal: The project has achieved all of the objectives: - Collaboration: The project has enabled collaboration, also added partners. - Method of work: A success factor, dissemination has taken place, within and outside the consortium. - Lab activities: Testing of production processes has taken place, in open laboratory as well as at company sites.

- Series production: Main processes are compiled. The focus has been to create an ability for efficient and sustainable production, based on cooperation, working methods and laboratory. All companies have acted in the ongoing transition. Expected results and effects: All ambitions for the project have been met or exceeded.

Results have been alliances, tools for development, converted production systems, verified methods, efficient and sustainable production processes, developed network, knowledge system and communication platform.

Effects are positive for the environment and climate, innovative capacity, innovation environment, establishments, jobs, competitiveness, investments and new research directions. The summary shows that both jobs and investments (SEK million), are four-digit numbers. Approach and implementation:

The layout has been four work areas, where the first three give the fourth as a consequence, a good ability for sustainable series production. The areas are collaboration, working methods, lab operations and serial production. The collaboration is central, where a common knowledge front was given to be used for the industry´s transformation, connection to the supply chain is also included.

Lab operations have tested technical possibilities and working methods in a real environment. The last area has had its focus on creating an ability for efficient and sustainable production.
