IoT in school for each one

Purpose and goal:

The project´s aim was to create social benefit by strengthening students´ health and increasing learning with the application of IoT in school; with the goal of developing and testing IoT ideas in a newly built upper secondary school.

Using IoT technology, development of the school´s indoor climate has been possible through companies that tested how the collection of data in classrooms could be used to regulate ventilation. Research at the school have contributed to knowledge for companies to develop business ideas, as well as shown how the school can develop learning environments.

Expected results and effects: The desired end state is that data generated from IoT technology creates the conditions for new work processes that can

strengthen students´ health and prevent ill-health and where IoT should be a well-functioning and accepted technology in the school environment and in this demonstrate how IoT contributes to increased societal benefit.

IoT technology has been used to improve the school´s indoor climate and will also develop even more in the long term. New development areas have been identified based on the interaction between people and technology and a good environment. Approach and implementation: The project´s work packages and stages took place temporally integrated with each other in different work groups:

- Identification of relevant data, test groups and test environments, as well as anchoring. Infrastructure planning, legal aspects (integrity) and selection criteria, as well as IPR for participating companies.

- Creation of model and tools for testing in real environments, and implementation of tests, surveys and interviews with students, staff and technical experts. - Seminars were conducted to share learning and invite joint feedback.
