FraViVo - Future welfare technology by IoT

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the project is to with the aid of sensor data and AI detect trends that can be related to potential health risks, effects of ongoing treatments or give answers to specific questions that need to be explored before a treatment can start. Objectives;

- demonstrate that data collected (digital measurements of living and behavioural patterns over time) and the use of AI has potential to among other things detect trends over time and contribute to the identification of health risks - evaluate how IoT can be used to discover and follow the development of a disease for some diagnoses

Expected results and effects:

IoT devices for the detection required will have been evaluated in real homes with people participating. The broad introduction in the project will demonstrate the performance requirements placed on the ICT architecture for a further upscaling required for demographic development. The system must be able to be used by all care providers in the care chain.

Knowledge of how a distributed ML method called “Federated Learning” (FL) can be applied to aggregate the knowledge from people with similar diseases. Approach and implementation:

The project is led operatively by the project management office of Skellefteå kommun. The management of the project follows the project model established, including systems for economic management and monitoring.

The project plan consists of 7 workpackages (WP) led by different partners based on their expertise and the content of each WP. The work starts with a needs analysis that forms the base for the following work with data model, technology acceptance, infrastructure and working processes. Project management and evaluation/dissemination runs the entire project duration.
