Grant Description

USAID will strengthen Jordan's civil society sector by building institutional capacity of a new generation of Intermediary Support Organizations that support local organizations.

The Civic Initiatives Support Program cultivates a strong and vibrant civil society, providing technical assistance and grants to address issues identified as major barriers to community development.

The activity will also provide targeted assistance and grants to democracy, rights and governance organizations to support elections.

The Agency will further opportunities that promote Government of Jordan-CSO collaboration efforts to address reform and development challenges, promote international best practices, and provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Social Development and the Registry of Societies.
