The Policy Support Project is a newly designed activity aimed at improving the food security enabling environment for private sector investment in agriculture.
The Project will focus on improving capacity for evidence-based policy formation, implementation, research, and advocacy, working with the Government of Ghana, the private sector, and civil society organizations.
USAID/Ghana will fund this project for a period of five years with an estimated life of activity funding of $15.5 million. The project is funded through a contract with Chemonics International Inc.
The Project will increase public/private dialogue around policy for private sector investments; increase policy research capacity; increase private sector capacity for advocacy; improve farmer access to seed, fertilizer, and other inputs; all of which will eventually lead to increased private sector investment in agriculture.
