Grant Description

Tibet Education Program: Through the Tibet Fund, USAID supports Tibetan community youth in India and Nepal to access educational opportunities.

The Tibet Education Project is improving the quality of local teaching through teacher development and training, while also employing educational tools that enhance science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This will enable students to access costly and competitive higher educational opportunities.

Additionally, the program supports the Central Tibetan Administrations college scholarship program and provides test preparation and coaching for secondary students.

More than 10,000 youth studying in Tibetan schools across India and Nepal are currently benefitting from these improvements.
