San Jose State University implements the Social Work Education Enhancement Program (SWEEP) in alliance with Cisco Systems, which committed to a 1:1 in-kind match.
The program aims to strengthen the capacity of Vietnam's universities and vocational schools to deliver quality education and prepare job-ready social workers.
With FY~2014 funds, SWEEP will continue to: 1) Help eight schools develop and employ relevant curricula by instituting competency-based syllabi; 2) Create a sustainable network of practice by creating a social work university network to strengthen a common social work education curriculum and implementation plan, including individualized contacts on Strategic Plans; 3) Develop online trainings administration, curriculum development, and faculty development; and, 4) Improve the capacity of faculty and administration through leadership academies and faculty fellowships to be trained in best practices for managing social work education programs.
