MicroEnterpriseSupport project

The overall goal of the project is to improve the business enabling environment for the development of micro and small enterprises (MSE) in Azerbaijan.

The projects objectives are: (i) improve the dialogue and interaction between the state and civil society on issues affecting the development of MSEs; (ii) improve the legislative and institutional framework for the MSE enabling environment; (iii) provide practical assistance to MSEs, in particular for women-owned, family businesses to improve their viability and successful development.

Policy related activities on MSME enabling environment are undertaken in five main directions: study of the problems of MSE and policy recommendations; legislative framework on business enabling environment; institutional framework on business enabling environment; mechanism of the protection of MSE from bureaucratic arbitrariness; increasing the competitiveness of MSE.The project is implemented by the alliance of six local NGOs and think tanks.
