The five year Colombia Clean Energy Program (CCEP) works with Colombian entities to mitigate GHG emissions through three areas that are the goals of this program: energy efficiency and renewable energy enabling environment and institutional capacity development; expanding access to renewable energy sources in currently unserved (off-grid) areas; and energy efficiency and renewable energy investment promotion.

CCEP supports the Enhancing Capacity Low-Emissions Development Strategy (EC-LEDS) process by providing direct technical assistance to the Ministry of Mines and Energy in supporting their sectorial work plan process, the development of Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions, energy efficiency policy, and other technical assistance as needed.
