Grant Description

The Womens Participation Program (WPP is a two-year program that is closely tied to the implementation of the UN Conventionon the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). The overarching goal of WPP is to improve the status of women in Azerbaijan.

The programs dual purpose is (1) to curtail the abuse of women as a human rights issue and (2) to elevate and integrate the female population as a tremendous but underutilized force for democratic and socio-economic development in Azerbaijan.
