The South Sudan Teacher Education Program (SSTEP) is designed to support the Ministry of General Education and Instruction.
SSTEP was designed to strengthen the Ministrys capacity to a) develop and shape policies that respond to South Sudans education needs; b) refine and mobilize a training curriculum that improves the pedagogy of teachers and strengthens their content knowledge; and c) create a Teacher Support Network capable of supporting teachers, tutors, head teachers andinspectors.
In addition, the project will strengthen the English language skills of teachers, and improve gender equity among teachers and other MoGEI personnel.
