Decades of civil war have destroyed many of South Sudans institutions of governance and resulted in the breakdown of systems that regulated land administration.
Tetra Tech implements the USAID-funded South Sudan Rural Land Governance (SRLG) Project, which provides technical assistance to the South Sudan Land Commission (SSLC) in reforming and rebuilding South Sudans land sector.
The project is increasing the capacity of the SSLC to help state and county authorities in Jonglei and Western Equatoria States develop new statutory institutions to administer land rights, govern natural resource use, foster social and political stability, and build an enabling environment for sustainable economic development.
