Grant Description

The RMDP supports market-led agribusiness development through four majors objectives: (1) Increase the variety of products along targeted agricultural value chains, (2) increase access to credit, particularly among women; (3) promote better microenterprise governance and stronger support institutions and; (4) strengthen women opportunities and encourage an enabling environment by focusing on leadership and family health.

The projects main focus will be on increasing commercial performance in six value chains (Irish potatoes, ginger, honey, cassava, legumes and chili pepper); increasing Djongassy tie dyers s access to raw materials; reinforcing the capacity of farmers and processors to respond to market requirements.
