Lowering Emissions in Asias Forests (LEAF)

Lowering Emissions in Asia's Forests aims to strengthen capacities of developing countries in Asia to produce meaningful and sustainable reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the forestry-land use sector and to participate in and benefit from the emerging international Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation framework.

Specific objectives include replicating and scaling up innovation through regional platforms and partnerships, supporting improved policy and market incentives for GHG reductions, demonstrating innovation in sustainable land management, and building capacities for economic valuation of forest ecosystem services and monitoring changes in forest carbon stocks. ~
