Accelerating Agriculture Productivity Improvement (AAPI)

The Accelerating Agriculture Productivity Improvement (AAPI) activity improves food security and increases rural incomes by enhancing agricultural productivity.

Specifically, the activity will continue to expand the use of fertilizer deep placement (FDP)~technology in rice and vegetable production. The adoption of FDP technology will increase yields and reduce the amount of fertilizer used.

To implement this activity, USAID and the International Fertilizer Development Center work with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), and other key stakeholders.

Additionally, in the interests of sustainability, AAPI is reinforcing the implementation capacity of the DAE and fertilizer sellers to promote FDP at the household level.
