Grant Description

USAID's Sudan Infrastructure Capacity Building Program (SICBP) concentrates on establishing a Roads Agency within the Ministry of Transport and Roads (MTR) and building the capacity of the State Ministries of Physical Infrastructure to plan and implement roads construction and maintenance activities.

The program also provides training for local construction contractors, creates jobs through labor-based construction methods, and facilitates road safety improvements.
