Grant Description

With an aging population and >55 million dementia cases worldwide; treatments are more needed than ever.

However, effective treatments are lacking, with solutions only stalling dementia progress and no real disease-modifying effect. ATI has developed AT-001, a new drug with the potential to stop and revert the disease, and to delay its onset.

AT-001 has been developed through the DNACA precision-medicine based platform, which applies Big Data mining and Deep Learning/AI algorithms to identify patients with validated biomarkers. AT-001 is different in that it prevents aggregation of amyloid/tau proteins, common in many types of dementia. Phase IIa clinical trials have shown strong effects in the treatment of HCCAA.

We will now carry out a registration trial for commercialization in Iceland and POC studies in Europe to obtain NDA in familial dementia, thereby informing the treatment of Alzheimers Disease (60% of dementia cases), potentially changing the lives of millions for the better.
