GBM has developed Vibrojet® as an urgent needed alternative for the hydraulic hammer currently used for installation of offshore wind turbine foundations.
Current method has increasingly difficulties to install the much needed larger wind turbines and to comply with stricter regulations.
Vibrojet® involves the whole monopile, including vibrating it, jetting the soil below the monopile, and creating a fluidized bed in the hollow monopile.
This process is managed by a control system with a high-tech sensor network based on edge computing concepts using deep learning/ artificial intelligence.
Vibrojet® reduces the soil resistance temporarily to such an extent that the huge monopile sinks down silent and gentle to target depth under its own weight.Vibrojet® is compliant with regulations and able to install the larger wind turbines very effectively - accelerating the roll out of offshore wind energy farms that are needed to enable the EU achieving its shore green deal goals.
