Municipal Competitiveness Project (MCP)

With the goal of creating an environment for municipalities to attract investment, improve economic development, and generate jobs across the country, RTI is providing technical assistance to improve municipal policies and practices so that they better serve private sector needs; institutionalizing the Municipal Competitiveness Index (MCI)designed and piloted in 2009 by RTI with support from USAIDto measure municipal performance over time and maintain the momentum for reform; and stimulating public-private engagement, entrepreneurship development, and improved access to finance for small and medium enterprises.
