The FATA Livelihoods Program worked in three key areas - agriculture, workforce development, and micro-enterprises - to improve economic and social conditions necessary for long-term stability in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, or FATA.
The program seeks to improve the employment potential of targeted groups, especially youth, through vocational and apprenticeship training, basic academic skills development, university and technical education scholarships, and social engagement activities.
The program also aimed to increase citizens' trust in their local governments through community infrastructure construction and rehabilitation projects.
In addition, the FATA Livelihoods Program improved the performance of agricultural and non-agricultural businesses by providing equipment, specialized training courses, and improved production and marketing opportunities to local residents.
