Grant Description

Under this contract, E3/Energy & Infrastructure provides engineering support to missions in countries that are suffering from short and long term disasters, both man-made and natural, as well as the deterioration of in-country infrastructure.

The program supports various projects in water, sanitation, roads, power, industrial parks, and telecommunications while providing direct technical assistance to host country counterparts.Missions receive assistance in the design, development and implementation of infrastructure programs, resulting in increased safety, reduced cost, and greater commitment to sustainable operations of USAID's infrastructure investments.

The PSC provides field support to Missions in support of the Feed the Future and Global Health Initiatives, basic education, post-disaster reconstruction, and other infrastructure programs.

The PSC also provides mentoring and training to new USAID engineers and field officers through on-the-job training and the annual Infrastructure Workshop. The PSC prepares technical guidance and leadership on roads issues. Note that the PCS Engineer is Mr. Jacob Greenstein
