Grant Description

A Public Private Partnership between USAID, Petron Foundation, National Book Store Foundation, Brothers Brother and Microsoft Philippines, EQuAllS2 is implemented by a team of local and international organizations with expertise in education and youth development, led by the Education Development Center.

The project aims to improve quality and access to basic education in areas most-affected by poverty and conflict in the Philippines, specifically the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and Regions 9 and 12.

Efforts focus on improving the quality of and access to basic education in grades 1-3, which currently suffer from poor teaching and learning, overcrowded classes, and lack of access to schools or effective alternative learning opportunities. EQuALLS2 also supports programs that reintegrate out-of-school youth into the peaceful, productive economy.
