Grant Description

On July 10, 2009, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Liberian Vice President Joseph Boakai witnessed the signing of an economic and technical cooperation agreement (ETCA #85176) granting 70 million RMB for multiple projects.

Of that amount, 400,000 RMB was allocated to sending a Chinese technical team to survey the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Construction Project in Congo Town.

The survey was a success so the Chinese government later granted $4.2 million USD for construction of the new building (#1731).
