Grant Description

The USAID-funded Kenya Horticulture Development Project is a five-year 'Feed the Future' initiative funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Fintrac, a leading US Agribusiness consulting company.

USAID -KHCP is designed to achieve catalytic change leading to enhanced food security, increased incomes, and gender and youth equity in the horticultural sector.

USAID-KHCP, in close collaboration with public and private sector organizations, employs a holistic approach to increasing competitiveness by delivering tailored assistance to entrepreneurial smallholder farmers with the aim to: 1) Enhance productivity and food security; 2) Increase value - addition; 3) Improving value - chain coordination, marketing, and trade promotion; 4) Improve business environment and institutional capacity.
