Grant Description

Through an Interagency Agreement with the U.S.

Department of the Interior, USAID assists Georgia to enhance the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia to manage and commercialize national parks and promote tourism opportunities.

Technical assistance and training is provided to Ministry officials, employees of protected areas throughout Georgia, and local stakeholders in the National Protected Area System.
