The Chernobyl Shelter Fund advances the goal of countering transnational threats by safely containing the reactor that was destroyed during the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

The Chernobyl Shelter Fund's primary objective is to stabilize and replace the deteriorating sarcophagus which entombs the highly radioactive remains of the destroyed Chernobyl 4 reactor.
