Grant Description

In April 2011, the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced it planned to invest in training Ugandans to develop management and engineering skills for the country's oil resource, together with Norway.

It is reported that the first group of seven staff to benefit from the training programme completed an intensive four-week training at CNOOC Limited’s Tanggu base in Tianjin, China on November 7, 2012. The staff were from CNOOC Uganda Limited, a subsidiary of CNOOC Limited.
