The OTA advisor at the central bank of Guatemala provides an opportunity to work on lending to small and medium-size entrepreneurs in a focused and sustained way, including issues newly covered by the program, such as corporate governance and consumer protection.
At the regional level LACFII aims at supporting the adoption of regulations that will buttress broader financial inclusion, with particular emphasis on improved delivery of financial services to small and micro entrepreneurs.
In the medium term, the objective will be to have financial institutions operate in a regulatory and incentive environment that is fully conducive to the delivery of financial services to that underserved economic group.
