Grant Description

This technical assistance grant to the Dominican Republic's Superintendent of Electricity will support the development of a regulatory roadmap to support the adoption of regulations necessary to enable the use of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the Dominican Republic.

The technical assistance would help address the gaps within the regulatory framework for BESS, including grid connection, performance, and economic remuneration.

Establishing this regulatory framework will enable the export of U.S. energy storage technologies to the Dominican Republic.
