Grant Description
A USTDA grant to eleQtra (East Africa) Limited funds a feasibility study (Study) for a proposed energy storage, grid services, and potential solar PV project in Uganda.
The study would provide technical, legal, and economic analysis necessary to determine the configuration of either a permanent energy storage system paired with solar PV or a transportable energy storage system.
Successful implementation to the Project would make the Ugandan grid more efficient, stable, and cost-effective by providing ancillary services to manage solar and hydropower and limit transmission losses. Hatch Associates Consultants, Inc. is carrying out the Study on a sole-source basis.
