A USTDA grant for the Ministry of Public Infrastructure and Industries is funding a feasibility study (FS) to support the relocation and modernization of the Belau National Hospital in Palau (Project).
The FS will evaluate site conditions, hospital infrastructure, equipment, and service needs to ensure the new facility can withstand climate challenges, such as rising sea levels and increasing storm severity, while meeting Palau's healthcare demands.
It will also focus on integrating additional healthcare services and innovative solutions, including telehealth, electronic health records, and advanced medical technologies, to improve the hospital's operational efficiency, and consequently, healthcare delivery to Palau's population.
