Grant Description

USTDA funding is supporting the U.S.-Africa Information and Communication Technology Sector Standards Program (Technical Assistance or TA).

The TA is designed to share important U.S. commercial and industrial standards information and practices with government officials and industry in Sub-Saharan African countries to ensure that decision makers who develop and implement standards, testing protocols, and regulatory procedures for the ICT sector are informed of internationally accepted industry-led standards.

The TA maximizes cost-sharing by U.S. industry and strongly features U.S. private sector technology, expertise, best practices, and resources to carry out standards workshops in Sub-Saharan Africa.
