Technical Assistance - HELICOPTER STANDARDS, through Government of India

This $501,849 grant partially funds technical assistance (TA) for the Government of India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

This TA supports the continued growth of the Indian helicopter market by providing practical helicopter operational solutions in the form of regulatory and airspace structure technical support.

The TA provides safety training for helicopter inspectors and standardized helicopter airport operations, training and inspection standards.

India has become a fast growing helicopter market over the last several years; U.S. firms estimate that U.S. export potential can reach 50 percent or greater of the commercial helicopter market in terms of sales and services with improvement of the regulatory and safety environment for helicopter operations.
