Technical Assistance - AGRICULTURAL BIOTECHNOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAM, through Advanced Engineering Associates International, Inc.

This $500,000 agricultural biotechnology training program will help India to eliminate technical barriers to trade for U.S. agricultural commodities; develop a science-based biosafety regulatory and policy environment; and facilitate technology transfer in the area of agricultural biotechnology.

Specifically, the training program provides education and long-term training to Indian regulators and scientists on specific agricultural biotechnology issues, such as food safety assessment and regulatory policies and principles for genetically engineered agricultural products.
