Grant Description

This activity will provide for the services of a U.S. contractor to develop a life-cycle cost analysis curriculum, pilot the training in up to four countries, revise the curriculum into a final manual, and transfer the finalized curriculum to a web-based platform that the contractor will host for a period of 12 months.

The activity will support ongoing and future procurement assistance programs under USTDA's Global Procurement Initiative: Understanding Best Value (GPI).

The objective of the LCCA curriculum and training is to help officials understand how to conduct LCCA in the procurement process in an effort to obtain the best value for public funds.

The curriculum will provide GPI partner countries with an expanded knowledge of best practices and methodologies needed to move away from least-cost procurement methods to value-based procurement methods, which may increase opportunities for U.S. companies to bid on and potentially win international tenders.
