Grant Description

This $613,241 feasibility study (FS) provides the China Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) a technical plan demonstrating the feasibility of a safety solution for Chinese dams and reservoirs.

The Dams and Reservoirs Emergency Management System project would increase China's ability to monitor and react to dam and reservoir events, thereby protecting lives, property, the environment and economic activity through timely emergency response and disaster mitigation. MWR and Intergraph Corporation (Madison, AL), the sole source contractor, are sharing costs on the project.
