Grant Description
China Eximbank pledges $30 million USD export buyer’s credit for Phase 1 of Mobile Phone Network Project In August 2006, ZTE Corporation signed a $30 million USD contract with a domestic telecom operator in Cote D'Ivoire for Phase 1 of the Mobile Phone Network Project.
That same year, China Eximbank reportedly pledged to provide a $30 million USD export credit loan to finance this commercial contract. China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure) provided insurance on this loan. It is unclear whether these funds were ever disbursed. This project involved the creation of a mobile phone network in Abidjan and some adjacent areas.
It is unclear whether implementation ever began.
