Grant Description

In January 2008, Dr.

James Tibenderana, director of the Uganda Malaria Research Center, announced that China would build a malaria treatment and prevention center attached to the Mulago Referral Hospital worth 700 million UGX. Then, on May 1, 2008, the Chinese Government committed $429,000 for the construction of the center.

The official handover ceremony was held on May 15, 2008.
