Grant Description
On September 5, 2023, the 30th medical team arrived in Conakry, Guinea.
Then, on September 11, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Guinea held a reception to congratulate the 29th medical team for their service and welcome the incoming 30th medical team.
The arriving medical team consisted of 24 members from various medical units in Beijing, China, and provided medical services to local people for 18 months at the China-Guinea Friendship Hospital (Hôpital De L'amitié Sino-Guinéenne) and across Guinea.
Additionally, the team gave comprehensive training to local medical staff, covering diagnosis, treatment, care, and prevention measures.
From September 2023 to June 2024, the team served 413 patients, performed 236 surgeries, including 26 new procedures for Guinea, such as emergency coronary angiography and stent implantation. Then, on March 13, 2025, the Guinean Ministry of Health held a commendation ceremony for the 30th medical team.
The ceremony signified the conclusion of the 30th medical team's 18-month operation in Guinea.
