Sinohydro Bureau 7 donates water supply pipe materials to Debarca Municipality during Kicevo-Ohrid Motorway construction (linked to Record ID#66444)

On April 5, 2022, Sinohydro Bureau 7 Co., Ltd.—a subsidiary of PowerChina and the implementing contractor for the Kičevo–Ohrid (KO) Motorway Construction Project (see Record ID#66444)—donated water supply pipe materials to the Debarca (Општина Дебрца) municipal water bureau in North Macedonia.

The donation was made after the construction of the motorway intersected the city’s primary water pipeline, causing delays in household water access. At the time, the Debarca municipal government faced procurement delays of up to two months.

In response, the KO Project Department reallocated water pipe inventory from its own construction supplies to assist the local government.

This allowed the municipal water bureau to expedite the connection of the main water line to nearby villages, restoring water access to hundreds of residents.

This donation was part of Sinohydro Bureau 7’s corporate social responsibility efforts to mitigate local infrastructure disruptions and build goodwill with host communities affected by the KO Motorway’s development. The monetary value of the donation is unknown.
